Cedar Shoals basketball coach Dreco Thomas picked up his 100th win with the Jaguars’ 67-43 victory over Strom Thurmond in the Sweet South Classic at Morgan County Monday.
Thomas has been at Cedar Shoals since 2005 and took over as the school’s head basketball coach in 2010. He guided the Jaguars to the Class 5A state semifinals last season.
“It felt good to know that all the hard work you put in, you reached a milestone,” Thomas said. “The first thing you think about is all the kids you coached and all the hard work they put in. Without them, it wouldn’t have happened.”
Cedar Shoals will play Southwest Atlanta Christian tonight.
