Anyone constantly looking for a companion to join them playing video games will find company at Kelly’s Corner Gaming Center.
The new arcade-style gaming center is scheduled to open on Atlanta Highway in February, said owner Travis Kelly.
Kelly’s Corner will sit in the shopping center on the corner of Atlanta Highway and Timothy Road where Academy Sports and Dollar Tree are located.
Kelly said the gaming center will be a place where visitors can play video games on consoles, such as Xbox, PlayStation and Wii, or computers.
Visitors will pay by the hour to use the gaming systems and a variety of games, according to the gaming center’s website.
There will also be spaces visitors can rent out to use their own laptops or desktop computers.
The prices to play are $5 per hour, $15 for an all-day pass, $35 for a weekend pass and $80 for a month of unlimited access.
Kelly is planning to host weekly tournaments at the gaming center.
The center will also sell drinks and pre-packaged foods but no alcohol yet, Kelly said.
Kelly’s Corner will be open late for gamers throughout the week. The planned hours for the center posted on its website are Tuesday thru Thursday from 4 p.m. to midnight, on Friday between 2 p.m. and 2 a.m., Saturday from 11a.m. to 2 a.m. and Sunday from noon to 9 p.m.
