Authorities Tuesday evening were searching for a missing toddler.

The Athens-Clarke County Police Department and Georgia Bureau of Investigation were both searching for 1-year-old Dakota Clark Grayson and they were asking for the public’s assistance in locating the boy.

Grayson was described as a mixed-race male with curly black/brown hair and brown eyes.

He may be in the company of his mother, 38-year-old Robin Clark, police said. They reportedly were last seen Friday morning in Carnesville.

There was no clothing description for her or her son, and it was unknown if they had a vehicle.

An Athens-Clarke police media advisory issued at 5:32 p.m. Tuesday did not indicate why local police were involved with the search and its connection to Athens.

Anyone with information on their location is asked to contact Athens-Clarke County police Det. Scott Black at (706) 613-3888, ext. 798 or GBI Special Agent Ashleigh Isaacson at (706) 621-0959.

Those wishing to remain anonymous can call the Crime Stoppers confidential tipline at (706) 705-4775.
